Anonymous asked beautyforum: So I gave in and I got the urban decay 15th anniversary pallet! I LOVE their pallets, and have a few, but this one is great. I know you have it Danielle, can you offer guidance on what colors you’ve played with, or matched together within the pallet? Thank you, love the forum!

Hi beauties! I’ve been really excited to see that lately a lot of tutorials from my favorite gurus are using my favorite Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoos. If you haven’t heard of these incredible cream shadows, you need to check out our review here. They’re absolutely worth picking up especially if you’ve been lusting after a MAC Paint Pot. They are a great drugstore alternative that I almost prefer because I love the shade selection. There’s something really exciting about having the actual products that gurus use in their tutorials, for me anyway. These three tutorials use two of my absolute favorite shades (Tough as Taupe & Bad to the Bronze). They’re both great, versatile, everyday shades that pair well with lots of neutral looks. Definitely check out these tutorials if you want to see just how great these colors look on your eyes and how you can use them best!

Essie tends to be pretty in pastels, but this spring packs a punch too! Are you ready for these gorgeous collections?
First up is the Navigate Her Collection-

{From left to right the colors are: Navigate Her, A Crewed Interest, To Buy or Not to Buy, Tour de Finance, Ole Caliente, and Orange it’s Obvious}
This should be out in February 2012.

These swatches are from a great nail polish blog, The PolishAholic

{Colors on bottle!}
This should be available soon, the information out is a little spotty.
For swatches click here.
Do you love Essie? Which of these are you dying to pick up?
Stay beautiful,
Hannah
If you know anything about us, it’s that we might be a little bit obsessed with our nail polishes. Just a little. I’ve been dying over these Spring collections and I thought I’d share previews with you!
I’m going to split these up by brand so that this is not a huge post!
First up is the latest Nicki Minaj Collection which should be out in stores by now! It’s definitely bold and bright.

{From left to right: Pink Friday, Did It On ‘Em, Fly, Metal For Life, Save Me, and Super Bass Shatter }
For swatches of the OPI Nicki Minaj polishes click here.
Later in the Spring, OPI is releasing the Holland collection! I love this because it’s more subdued and has a wide range of polishes that I think will appeal to everyone. This is more of a classic OPI collection like the usual country collections that we see! This collection is set to launch February 8th.

{From left to right starting on top row: Red Lights Ahead….Where?, A Roll in The Hague, Vampsterdam, Thanks a WindMillion, Did You ‘Ear about van Gogh?, Kiss me on my Tulips. Bottom Row: Dutch ‘Ya just Love OPI?, I don’t give a Rotterdam, I have a Herring problem, Pedal Faster Suzi!, Wooden Shoe like to Know?, Gouda Gouda two Shoes}

Hope you’re as excited as we are for these amazing Spring polishes!
Stay tuned for more collection previews.

Pantone announces color reports for each fashion season, and annually unveils a color of the year. 2012’s hot hue is Tangerine Tango!

Are you loving this year’s bright new hue? It’s certainly not for the shy! We thought we’d give you some Tangerine Tango inspired products and some ideas on how to wear them as well as some links to other posts featuring this dramatic, seductive shade. Also, look for a Sephora and Pantone collaboration soon!
Some of these products won’t be exactly the same shade, but in makeup, sometimes it’s easier to take inspiration! These will definitely give you the same effect.

OPI Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It- This color will be gorgeous on nails! I think this a great way to step into the trend without being afraid that it will be too daring or overwhelming!

Too Faced Full Bloom Lip and Cheek Color in Prim & Poppy- This cream product would give a gorgeous pop of color to the cheeks or lips, and blends easily for a bright look or a more subtle glow.

From Left to Right: MAC Morange Lipstick IBobbi Brown Atomic Orange LipstickI MAC Lady Danger Lipstick - All three of these are fantastic options for those days when we’re feeling bold! Try it out- after all, it’s 2012! New year, new you! Why not try a little saucy pout?

NYX Single Eyeshadow in Extreme Apricot- Try blending this in the crease, or even packing it on a liner brush as a thin, bold line!

NARS Lip Gloss in Wonder- Want to try a bright lip but too afraid to go for the full on lipstick effect? Hello, gorgeous pigmented gloss.
Craving more of Tangerine Tango? We are too! Make sure to check out this great post on Beautylish!
Hope you enjoyed this post on 2012’s hot hue. Do you like the color? Will you be incorporating it into your makeup routine this year?
Stay Beautiful,
Hannah
Picking my top 5 favorite products is so difficult because I honestly reach for so many things every day! That being said, I can’t imagine my makeup routine without these 5 staples, and for many of these products, I credit them for changing my views on makeup in 2011:

MAC Painterly Paint Pot- This goes on my lids almost every single day. When I bought it, I didn’t think I’d use it as much as my other paint pot, and I had no idea how useful it would be. I am completely hooked on this perfect skin tone paint pot.

NARS Blush in Orgasm- I honestly go back and forth between phases of loving this one and Desire, but Orgasm is the blush that got me into NARS and blush in general. I adore this blush and I could not imagine what I’d do without it.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette- I debated for a while about which Naked Palette to choose, and eventually settled on the newest addition. I prefer the lighter shades and think I reach for Tease almost every day. It’s just a gorgeous palette and I know I will probably end up hitting pan on a few colors in this palette. That being said, if I didn’t have my original Naked palette I’d probably be quite upset too.

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Tease- This gloss was my entire summer. I can’t remember how many times I’d just throw this gorgeous color on and go with almost no other makeup on. I still wear it often and love the shade, and credit it for making me a lipgloss girl.

Essie Tea and Crumpets (and Nail polish in general)- I think it’s safe to say 2011 was about nail polish for me. I went from having a small collection to being “the girl who has a ton of nail polish.” If I had to pick one, this would be my little representative. It’s a gorgeous pinky beige with some shimmer.
Sidenote: I chose not to include foundation or mascara because I’m currently switching mine and I’d rather not recommend any right now!
Hope you enjoyed this, and I hope you have a happy New Year beauties! I’ll be back to filming in 2012—- I got a new camera for Christmas!
Stay Beautiful,
Hannah
Beauties, we hope you’ve had a fabulous 2011 full of fun, memories, and makeup (much like our year). We can’t wait to see what 2012 has to offer for Beauty Forum and all of you. We thought it would be fun to close out the year with our top five favorites from this year. As hard as it was to limit myself to 5 makeup only products, I did it and I’m pretty satisfied with my choices.

SWAK - Danielle

If you’ve been following me on twitter or saw my latest youtube video, y’all know I’m now obsessed with these. I have a serious soft spot for cream shadows especially ones that don’t crease! Obviously there are tons out there in the makeup world: MAC Paint Pots, MAKEUP FOREVER Aqua Creams, and Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows to name a few. These are all super pricey upwards of $18 EACH! This limits the number you can purchase if you’re on a budget, like I try to be. Drugstores have yet to really hit it out of the park with cream shadows similar to those of higher end brands, but I think these have just scored!

Maybelline Color Tattoos by Eyestudio are absolutely brand new and are just starting to pop up at your local Target’s and CVS’ at the least, but will be widely released next month! There are 10 fabulous shades: 5 neutral and 5 bolder ones. They are claimed to be a 24 Hour cream eyeshadow! They are super duper creamy and smooth which I love.

I picked up 5 of these fabulous shadows. The ones I will be showing are in bold.
As you can tell they are SUPER vibrant and pigmented. I was totally shocked. I couldn’t believe how well these held up without a base. My skin probably hated me last night, but I didn’t wash it off my eyes and I woke up this morning with the color still pretty well in tact without much creasing. It was totally crazy because even after that long my paint pot starts to fade at the least.

Audacious Asphalt

Bold Gold

Punk Pomegranate

Painted Purple

Tenacious Teal

I’ve even heard that some of these colors are dupes of MAKEUP FOREVER Aqua Creams!! Hey, I’d rather spend $6, than $22, wouldn’t you!? These currently retail at CVS for $7.29 and Target for $5.99. They’re going fast, so I’d definitely get your hands on these when you see them!
Overall, I highly recommend these if you’re looking for an amazing cream shadow that is long lasting, pigmented, and makes your eyeshadows pop! I’m in love and I’m sure you’ll fall for them too.
